Gabby Barrett expecting baby girl with husband Cade Foehner

While celebrating her fourth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country chart, I Hope singer Gabby Barrett has revealed an even bigger celebration on the horizon revealing she's expecting a baby girl early next year.

Gabby married fellow musician Cade Fohner in October last year after meeting the year before during the filming of American Idol season 16 and it looks by all accounts the fairy-tale family will grow by one more next year.

The pair learned the happy news in May, but kept it all hush until sharing with fans on Sunday.

"We were in Texas visiting Cade's side of his family. And it's funny, because I did not think that I was (pregnant). Around lunchtime, I remember taking the test and my eyes nearly crossed! I was like, Wait, is that two line?' I came running out to Cade and was just like, 'Oh my gosh, I think I am' That's all that I said, and he knew what that mean. I started crying, and it was very sweet," Gabby told People.

"We are very excited! The Lord has blessed us with as little one and we're really excited to finally be able to share the news withe everybody and just have a big old family celebration."

For the two, going through pregnancy in the middle of a global pandemic has been a challenge but the pair were prepared and nearly encourage by the not-so-perfect situation.

"With the pandemic happening, there was this huge amount of time getting to think and rethink what life was going to be about. So, we started trying pretty much at the start of the whole pandemic. It happened pretty quickly," said Cade.

"I have to go to some appointments, unfortunately, without my husband, which is really sad, but if that's what keeps the baby safe, then that's what we're going to do. We've just been trying to find ways to really work with, because that's all we can do at this point," said Gabby.
