Josh Setterfield is a singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who exploded onto the scene in 2016, after transitioning from pop punk frontman-to-solo country entertainer. He has since released three EPs, all of which debuted in the top 5 on the iTunes country charts and have accrued over half a million streams. Young Love is the final single from his EP, Till Dawn, and exposes his gift for songwriting in this raw, emotive song about the memories and innocence of young love.
We caught up with Josh to find out what songs he’s listening to for this week’s Front Deck Boom Box.
Russell Dickerson feat. Florida Georgia Line – It’s About Time
This is suuuuch a banger and just makes me want to party! Nothing but a feel good song! First found Russell Dickerson with his track Yours and have been following him ever since!
Jade Eagleson– Whiskey Tonight
This guy is going to blow up – I’m putting bets on it! – and this track is insanely good. An up-and-comer straight out of Canada, but Jade is probably my favourite country artist! I don’t think he has a bad song. Check him out!
Hardy feat. Thomas Rhett – Nothin’ Out Here
Hardy is probably the most influential songwriter to me that has ever existed. This guy writes all the bangers for all the bigger artists and I guarantee that you’ve sung along to one of the songs he’s written before if you’re a country fan. This track stands out to me heaps!
Tragic Me – For The Night
These guys aren’t country, but they’re a KILLER up-and-coming pop/rock band. Their track, For The Night is being released soon, and I actually produced and recorded it! It’s been stuck in my head for weeks now and I think you’re gonna love it!
Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’
This song will never leave my top 5! It’s my favourite track ever written and I can never not sing along. I love it that much that I recently had it tattooed on my arm with a big birdcage microphone! Long live Rock! Haha
