We caught up with Brittany Elise to find out what songs she’s listening to this December for this week’s special Christmas edition of Front Deck Boom Box.

Little Drummer Boy – Pentatonix

Pentatonix’s version of Little Drummer Boy draws you in with their beautiful blend of a cappella singing and creative interpretation of vocal instrumentation. The lyrics give a powerful message reminding us it’s not about the giving of materialistic gifts but a time to remember what we are grateful for including the most powerful gift, music.

O Holy Night – Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood’s version of O Holy Night captivates you with her powerhouse, pure vocal rendition. It’s a slow building song that draws you in and reminds us of the real story of Christmas. This song always brings back childhood memories of our family at Carols By Candlelight.

Silent Night – Mariah Carey

This version of Silent Night by Mariah Carey’ and the gospel choir, hooks you from the start with Mariah’s flawless vocal runs. The lyrics tell the story of calm, all is bright and that there is genuine peace in the world. This is often a reminder of these feelings that can be forgotten amongst our busy, driven world that rarely sleeps.

Believe – Cam

This beautiful piano-based track from Cam is a song of hope. A song of determination. A reminder to open your heart to allow happiness. It is a combination between reminiscing on our favourite Christmas memories and a reminder that this belief needs to be applied to our everyday life. Love this new track, Believe, by Cam.

I’ll be Home for Christmas – Morgan Wade

A beautiful rendition of I’ll Be Home For Christmas by Morgan Wade. Although this song honours our soldiers, due to recent restrictions and now easing of travel, this song is even more special.
