Lucie Tiger is the embodiment of a Southern infused, country rock singer-songwriter, coloured with a hefty dose of good ol’ Americana charm. Her latest single, Do Me Right is the ultimate release-from-lockdown celebration song for her fans to let their hair down – and Countrytown has your first look/listen ahead of its official release tomorrow in this exclusive premiere!
Lucie says, “I wanted to capture the feeling we’ve all had of wanting to reunite with our loved ones after long months of separation.”
Self-written by Lucie, Do Me Right was recorded across two continents due to the pandemic disrupting travel over the past two years, and produced by Grammy-nominated engineer, John Gifford III. The music video was filmed by Lucie and her parents in Centennial Park in Sydney, and later edited by Jay Seeney from Blacklist Production House.
Do Me Right is an upbeat, fun take on country rock and draws on Lucie’s influences including late Sixties-era Rolling Stones and Lynyrd Skynyrd as well as more modern touches of RaeLynn and Miranda Lambert. It follows her recent singles, Midnight Goodbye and Found My Home, which both charted on Countrytown Music Network Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart, with the latter peaking at #20.
Lucie was nominated for three Australian Songwriters Association (ASA) awards for ‘Songwriting Excellence’ in 2020, and the title track off her 2019 EP, Gasoline, won the Tamworth Songwriters Association award for ‘Best Country Blues Song’ in January 2021. The title track from Gasoline also reached number one on the AMRAP charts and remained on the chart for seven weeks.
Lucie is heading to Tamworth to perform at the Country Music Festival in January 2022 and will be returning Stateside for her third USA tour in April.
