Country Dominated Grammy Nominations

Country music dominated the Grammy nominations this morning with a total of 14 country musicians receiving nominations overall.

Country music dominated the Grammy nominations this morning with a total of 15 country musicians receiving nominations.

Leading nominations was country-turned-pop superstar Taylor Swift who received as total of six nominations across multiple genres. Her nominations including Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Exile, her collaboration with Bon Iver, and Best Song Written For Visual Media for Beautiful Ghosts the song she wrote for Cats the movie musical.

Miranda Lambert lead the country music genre nominations with nods for Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song and Best Country Album. Brandy Clark closely followed with two nominations for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album, as well as a writing credit on the Best Country Song nominated Crowded Table by the Highwomen.
