The inspirational new single from Mitchell Tenpenny titled Bucket List is our Song of the Day!

Although penned in 2019 by Tenpenny with Chris DeStefano and Laura Veltz, Bucket List took on new meaning when Tenpenny’s uncle passed away after contracting COVID-19.

Tenpenny says, “We all have our own version of what a bucket list is. So, we all started talking about things we wanted to get done before we cross everything off of our list. I sang it that day, but then I lived with it for a while. But it became this song that my manager kept bringing up, so here we are. It was written for this time, even though it wasn’t written in this time.”

The music video was filmed during a five-day trip to Arizona in December in partnership with the state’s tourism bureau. While working on the video, Tenpenny was able to knock a few off his own bucket list – visiting Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Lake Powell.

Tenpenny adds, “It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. We got to see so many things I’ve never had the chance to stop and take in during this video. I can watch this video for the rest of my life and remember those moments.”

Tenpenny was born and raised in Nashville, beginning his career writing songs for other artists. He released his debut album and single of the same name, Black Crow in 2015. He followed that up with his 2017 EP, Linden Ave and his second album, Telling All My Secrets in 2018, which peaked at number five on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. The album includes the platinum-certified number one single, Drunk Me.
