Five-time Golden Guitar winner, Amber Lawrence will release her new single this Friday – and Countrytown has your first listen in this exclusive premiere ahead of its official release. It's also our Song of the Day!

Produced by Stuart Stuart, and co-written with Melanie Dyer, Bring Is Back is an evolved sound we haven't yet heard across Amber's past releases. With soaring vocals and a hugely catchy melody, it will be supported by Amber’s ‘Bring it Back’ tour commencing late 2021 and early 2022.

With an accompanying music video shot with Duncan Toombs, Bring Is Back is an upbeat and powerful timely ode to the music industry, to both the artists and the fans. It laments the loss of our old ways, with Amber musically imploring for life to soon go back to the way it was. It is the first taste from her 7th studio album, set for a 2022 release date.

Amber says, “When I wrote Bring Is Back with Mel Dyer, I just knew it had to be the first single. Bring Is Back expresses exactly how I feel about our industry and life right now - reminiscing about the things we’ve lost, but hopeful about a brighter future. It’s such an upbeat track - and I hope people love hearing it as much as I love performing it!”

Bring Is Back is Amber’s first release in over two years, outside of the collaboration releases like the award-winning re-imagined cover of the John Williamson classic, True Blue with Aleyce Simmonds, Kirsty Lee Akers and Dianna Corcoran; Greatest Show On Earth with American band, the Davisson Brothers; and I Am Woman with Catherine Britt – which we premiered here.

A former Qantas Airways employee and chartered accountant, Amber risked it all to pursue a career in music, later releasing an EP in 2006 and her debut album The Mile in 2007. Albums When It All Comes Down (2009), 3 (2012), Super Heroes (2014), Happy Ever After (2016) and The Kids Gone Country (2016) followed.

In 2017, she collaborated with Travis Collins on Our Backyard, which took home awards for ‘APRA AMCOS Song of the Year’, ‘Single of the Year’ and ‘Vocal Collaboration Of The Year’ at the Golden Guitars. Amber's festive children's album, Aussie Aussie Christmas was released later that same year.

In 2019, she released her 6th studio album, Spark, which hit the #1 position of the ARIA Country Music Charts as well as her first long-form LIVE DVD and album Amber Lawrence Live. She also released her third children’s album, The Kids Gone Country II, which debuted at #2 on the iTunes Kids Chart and #2 on the Album Country Chart (nestled amongst The Wiggles and Play School). This album is currently a finalist at the 2021 Independent Music Awards in the category of ‘Best Independent Children’s Album or EP’.

Amber has toured with the likes of Lee Kernaghan, The McClymonts, Adam Harvey, Melinda Schneider, The Sunny Cowgirls and Kaylen’s Rain. She is currently touring with Catherine Britt, bringing their Love & Lies Tour across the east coast of Australia.
