In its 15th Anniversary year, CMC Rocks QLD will land at Willowbank in September rather than March, a decision that event organisers have said was driven by a desire to deliver an epic festival experience to country music lovers as early as possible, after the global pandemic forced the 2020 festival to postpone and fans missed out again in 2021.

Chairman of Chugg Entertainment, Michael Chugg says, “We couldn’t wait! We know that it’s been a long year and a half for country music fans, we’ve felt it too. After making the heartbreaking decision to postpone our 2020 event a week before the festival was due to take place, we’ve been working hard to navigate all the changes and find the best way forward, safely”.

Festival Director, Potts Entertainment, Jeremy Dylan adds, “We are so proud to be returning on our 15th anniversary year. Next September’s festival will be a celebration of everything that has made CMC Rocks and the CMC Rocks community so incredibly special – and for the privilege to gather together again and be united by our love of country music.”

CMC Rocks has been an important date on the Australian music calendar since 2008, beginning in the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, before heading to the Hunter Valley, and then on to its home in South East Queensland. Bringing artists including Lady A, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Little Big Town, Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, Kacey Musgraves, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Tim McGraw to Australia, CMC Rocks is known for attracting the highest local and international calibre talent year on year.

From 2023 onward, it’s expected the event will return to its regular March slot on the annual calendar.
