CountryTown in partnership with iHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce Australian sister trio, Vixens of Fall as our Artist Of The Week.

Comprised of Nina, Wren and Lulu, the sisters were born and raised in the tropical north city of Cairns. The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton and Creedence Clearwater Revival were all a part of their Father’s morning repertoire and began the trio’s early passion for song. The sisters took to performance early, taking part in ballet, dance, and drama groups.

They moved to Brisbane in 2000 and started their professional singing career at the Urban Country Music Festival in 2016, and have since made regular appearances at the Gympie Music Muster and Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Vixens of Fall released their debut EP, A Love Likes Ours in 2019, which included the hit singles Jeremiah and Down By The River. And, in 2020, they won Tamworth Battle of the Bands and were named Australia’s most popular Independent Country Band for 2020-2021 by Indie Country Music Australia.

Their latest single, Break It Easy – which we premiered last month – follows on from the success of their previous single The Long Game, which topped the iTunes Country Singles Chart, and has gathered over 130,000 streams on Spotify.

Vixens of Fall say, “Break It Easy tells the tale of a heart that has been broken one too many times, and as a new love begins, there can be a bit of hesitation to dive in deep. Taking changes and loving wholly and solely can prove to be magical. However, wariness plays on one’s mind and the strong desire to let your new love know that if they’re going to break your heart, they’ll need to break it easy, if palpable.”
