CountryTown in partnership with iHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce O'Shea as our Artist Of The Week, following the single ‘Nashville, Indiana’.

CountryTown in partnership with iHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce multi-award winning Australian-born, Nashville-based husband and wife duo O'Shea as our Artist Of The Week, following the release of their new single, Nashville, Indiana.

Jay and Mark O’Shea have been living and working in Nashville for the best part of a decade and have performed everywhere from the Grand Ole Opry to the Sydney Opera House since beginning their musical journey together in 2007. Mark’s country rock roots provide an edgy contrast to Jay’s soulful, powerful voice – making them a dynamic and unique combination of singer/songwriters.

The influences of their two homes are all over their previous album, appropriately titled 61-615 in homage to both Australia and Nashville. 61-615 received a 2017 ARIA Award nomination for ‘Best Country Album’, and includes a cover of John Farnham’s Playing To Win featuring Travis Collins and the Wolfe Brothers. All four of their studio albums have peaked on the ARIA top 50. They have a fifth release in the works.

Together, O’Shea have 7 Golden Guitars on their mantle, clocked up more than 11 number ones on the Aussie Country charts and their hit TV show O’SHEA USA has just been renewed for its sixth season. Individually, they have toured with the likes of INXS, Keith Urban, John Farnham, Hall & Oates, Jimmy Barnes and more.

Their first release of 2021, Nashville, Indiana is an ode to the overlooked. The underdog anthem speaks straight to the heart of the heartbroken and celebrates finding comfort in your own skin.

Jay says, "It's a song for anyone who's ever felt less-than or not enough."

Mixed by Jeff Juliano (Florida Georgia Line, Dan + Shay) and produced by Mr Lindsey (Jessica Mauboy, Sheppard), the track was co-written with Americana singer-songwriter, Will Hoge. The music video was shot on location in Nashville, Indiana and Nashville, Tennessee further highlighting the sentiment of the song.
