CountryTown in partnership with iHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce Lily Grace as our Artist Of The Week, following the release of her new single, Sixteen Wishes.

Lily is a genuine, grounded performer who sings from the heart. Already turning industry heads, collaborating with iconic Australian country artists and drawing strong crowds, the 15-year-old soloist from the Gold Coast is one of the most exciting female artists to emerge in recent years.

Naturally gifted, Lily began singing at 10 years of age. She dived deeper into music a mere four years ago, when she was gifted her first guitar at the age of 11. Her determination to self-fund her own equipment saw her busking at local markets, and soon after, attracting her to local cafes, restaurants, events and festivals.

With several years’ stage experience already behind her, Lily delivers her own storytelling originals alongside a vast collection of popular, crowd-pleasing favourites from contemporary, classics, and country. The emotions of love, determination, kindness, gratitude and pure joy pour forth in every one of her performances.

Lily recently teamed up with country music legend, James Blundell for her vibrant and catchy single, Annie June. Performed and written by Lily and James, Annie June about a woman who is portrayed as a home wrecker and is blamed for tearing apart a family situation even though it wasn’t her fault. The song peaked at #31 on the Countrytown Music Network Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart and has been a chart success on radio, iTunes and CMT as well as thousands of streams worldwide.

Her latest single, Sixteen Wishes is about a dream … a dream to have just one summer where you do all of those things you’ve been meaning to do. Going to the beach, spending time with the people you love, ticking those things off your bucket list and not letting anything step in the way. The focus is to make memories that you can cherish.

Lily says, “My sweet sixteenth is in November, so for me, this song is about getting all of those things done before my birthday. It’s about not just focusing on work, because there is more fun to be had. Go out and live and don’t let anything stop you. Do everything you can to ensure that every one of those ‘sixteen wishes’ come true.”
