CountryTown in partnership with iHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce Nashville-based, singer-songwriter, Chase Wright as our Artist Of The Week.
At only 24 years old, the former college track star was pegged as ‘one to watch’ thanks in part to his performance covers of Tate McRae’s You Broke Me First and Justin Bieber’s Lonely, as well as original recordings on his TikTok account.
With his feet firmly planted in the relatable storytelling that the country music format is known for, Chase adds his own flair with dashes of electric loops and pop-rock chords alongside the traditional sounds made from steel strings and wood.
The unsigned, independent country newcomer made his debut last year with the catchy, up-tempo My Kind of Morning. In just over a month, the album had already logged over 425,000 streams across digital platforms worldwide.
“Lots of times early on in relationships, we hold back and don’t say what we mean. We’re too cool, or trying to be too casual. Writing this is a message from me to me, saying it’s okay to be honest both with myself and with others. It’s too easy for time go by without just saying what you mean,” said Chase about the new single, Why Should We.
