CountryTown in partnership with iHeartCountry Australia is proud to announce Brad Paisley as our Artist Of The Week.

Paisley is a global country music superstar who has earned his place in country music history as one of the genre’s most talented and decorated artists. Over the past 21 years, his songwriting and unmatched showmanship have won him numerous awards, including three GRAMMYs, two American Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards and 15 Academy of Country Music Awards among many others.

A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2001, Paisley has written 21 of his 24 number one hits, has amassed over 4.6 billion career streams and in 2008 became the first artist to achieve 10 consecutive Billboard Country Airplay number one singles.

His 2017 album, Love and War, which features collaborations with the likes of Mick Jagger, John Fogerty and Timbaland, debuted at number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. This year saw the release of new music from Paisley with City of Music, an ode to the dreamers who arrive in Nashville hoping to make it big.

As well as headlining CMC Rocks QLD alongside Kane Brown and Morgan Evans, Paisley will commence his first ever Australian tour in 2022. Playing a string of shows with Evans in Brisbane (Sep. 26), Melbourne (Sep. 29) and Sydney (Oct. 5), Paisley is also slated for Savannah in the Round and the Deni Ute Muster. Paisley (with Evans) will also head to New Zealand for the first time, playing in Auckland’s Spark Arena (Oct. 8) with special guest Kaylee Bell.

Paisley will host The Ellen DeGeneres show on December 29. Slated to make guest appearances are actor Cary Elwes and singer Tori Kelly along with Champ Jaxon, an 11-year-old singer and guitar player.

Paisley says, “I was so honoured Ellen asked me to guest host during her final season. It shows so much belief…letting someone host a show that’s going off the air anyways.”
