A Winter Wonderland by Tenille Arts – Song of the Day

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – and I don’t mean Christmas, I mean that magical month where we can blast holiday music and no one can judge us for it! Because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love Christmas music all year round?! This December, we are going to be adding our Songs of the Day to our very special Countrytown Christmas Playlist, complete with re-imagined country-style holiday classics as well as what are sure to be new festive favourites!

On the rise country artist Tenille Arts has released a re-mastered version of her original Christmas heartbreak track, A Winter Wonderland. It’s our festive Song of the Day!

The lyrics reference the holiday classic, Winter Wonderland, but turns the usually joyful phrase into a somber one. Tenille reflects on past Christmases with her ex, as she witnesses classic winter scenes and Christmas traditions.

Born and raised in the small prairie town of Weyburn, Saskatchewan in Canada, Tenille now calls Nashville home. Her critically acclaimed Love, Heartbreak & Everything In Between album was released in January of 2020, and yielded her her first #1 single, Somebody Like That. The single made history as the first song written, produced and performed by all females to top the country charts.

Her new, Girl To Girl album was released in October 2021, and features her current single, Back Then, Right Now. Her 2016 self-titled debut EP peaked at #1 on the iTunes Canada top country album chart and cracked the top 100 on the U.S. iTunes country album chart.

Earlier his year, Tenille was inducted in the CMT ‘Next Women of Country Class’ of 2021 and nominated for her first ACM Award for ‘New Female Artist of the Year.’ She recently wrapped up touring with Lady A on their nationwide What A Song Can Do tour.
